The programme is taught by a number of distinctive musical personalities who also play a defining role as performing artists on the Danish and international
music scene.

The basic philosophy behind our strategy is that the development of the best possible instrumental/vocal skills underpins the development of an artistic and
personal form of expression – in performance and composing as well as in teaching.

The programme in jazz and contemporary rhythmic music is structured in a way that allows individual lessons, ensemble playing electives and project weeks
to integrate naturally.

All of this is reinforced by lots of clinics and master classes with exceptional artists from around the globe, an annual trip to New York, and tons of concert
experience both at AMDA and in the cultural environment of the cities and surrounding areas.

It is our experience that this combination is what it takes for our students to move on in every conceivable direction... even some that have not yet been discovered!

The size of the academy is definitely a strength, because flexibility is a keyword in order to nurture the individual student’s potential.” “I can also highly recommend that you do yourself the favour of really developing your potential before you take on the world. The academy is a perfect incubator in that respect.”
