How to apply
Most student exchanges at SDMK are organised within the framework of Erasmus+ or Nordplus.
All exchange applications must be sent in agreement with the international office at your home institution. Please contact the international office at your own institution for further information on application procedures within the different networks.
The application deadline for exchange students is March 1st. (only completed and nominated applications are accepted).

In the application we ask for the following documentation/information:
- Audition material (audio/video)
- Letter of motivation
- Transcript of records (or a bachelor certificate)
- Curriculum vitae (optional)
- Photo
- Letter of recommendation (optional)
Course catalogue/study plan/learning agreement
Normally, exchange students follow the same courses as regular students within the same study programme. Therefore, you can only select a study programme in the application form and not individual courses.To see the content of a certain study programme, please find the information here: https://www.sdmk.dk/en/studies/programmes
A Learning Agreement / Study Plan will be prepared at a later stage if you are admitted to SDMK - Syddansk Musikkonservatorium.
Information for colleagues at partner/sending institutions:
- All students must be nominated by their home institution as part of the application process. A nomination link will be sent to the sending coordinator when the student sends the applicaiton.
- SDMK will only assess applications that are complete by deadline and include, Letter of motivation, Links to audition material, Transcript of records (or a bachelor certificate), Photo.
- Other relevant documents can be uploaded.
- Students applying for an exchange period at SDMK must have completed at least one year of bachelor studies in their home institution before the exchange.
IMPORTANT DATES
15 January - 1 March: Application system is open
1 March 2025 00.00 hrs. CET: Strict deadline for complete applications and upload of all required documents
10 March: Deadline for nomination by sending coordinator
Mid March 2025: Applications forwarded to the selection committee
Early May 2025: Expected reply to submitted applications
